Your prayers are your business

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026. People tell prayer their most intimate things. Here's exactly what happens with yours — in plain English.

The short version

Your Emmaus conversations live only on your device. We don't store them on our servers, we don't read them, and we never sell anything about you to anyone. The only personal information we hold is your email address (and first name, if you share it) for the Daily Verse — and your payment details, which are handled entirely by Stripe, never by us.

What we collect

  • Daily Verse signup: your email address, and your first name if you choose to share it. Stored with our email provider (Resend) and used only to send the Daily Verse and essential account emails (like the free-week reminder).
  • Membership: when you start a free week, Stripe processes your payment details. We never see or store your card number — only that your membership is active, so Emmaus knows to let you in.
  • On your device only: your Emmaus conversations, saved chats, favorite verses, and reflections are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. Clearing them there removes them for good.
  • Feedback: if you use the feedback button, we receive your message and the page you sent it from — so we can fix what you found.

How Emmaus replies are made

To answer you, your words are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing during the conversation. Anthropic does not train its models on what you share, and we never see, store, or log the content of your conversations ourselves.

What we never do

We never sell your data — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't build profiles of you.

Deleting your information

  • Daily Verse: unsubscribe instantly from any email — one click, no dark patterns. The unsubscribe page also offers one-tap deletion of your email from our list entirely.
  • Conversations: clear your Emmaus conversation any time, right on the page, and start fresh.
  • Anything else: write to hello@siprayer.com and we'll delete what we hold and confirm it in writing.

Children

SI Prayer is a general-audience service. If you're under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what's needed to run the service. No system is perfect — if we ever discover a breach that affects you, we'll tell you promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll post the update here with a new date at the top. The short version will never change: your prayers stay yours.
