The fine print, without the fine print
Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose — if anything here is unclear, write to hello@siprayer.com and we'll explain it like a person.
What SI Prayer is
SI Prayer offers three things: a Daily Verse email (free, always), a verse library (free), and Emmaus, a reflective devotional companion you talk with about what's on your mind (paid membership). Reflections are generated with AI systems and grounded in Scripture — specifically the King James Version and the World English Bible, both public domain.
What Emmaus isn't
Emmaus is not a pastor, counselor, therapist, or medical, legal, or financial professional. It offers spiritual reflection, not advice you're meant to rely on for health, legal, or financial decisions. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (US, free, confidential, 24/7).
Membership, trial, and billing
- Price: $7.99/month or $59/year — your choice at signup.
- Free week: your first 7 days are free. We collect a card upfront so there's no interruption if you stay, but you are not charged until day 8.
- Reminder: we email you 3 days before your free week ends, so the first charge is never a surprise.
- Auto-renewal: membership renews automatically at your chosen plan until you cancel.
- Canceling: one tap, right on the Emmaus page — no phone calls, no retention scripts. You keep full access until the end of your current paid period (or your free week, if you cancel during the trial).
- Refunds: if you were charged and shouldn't have been — or you simply made a mistake — write to hello@siprayer.com within 30 days of the charge and we'll refund it. We'd rather make it right than keep a dollar that doesn't feel right.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Family passcodes
Some members receive a family passcode for complimentary access. Passcode access carries no charge and no card is required. Passcodes are personal — please don't post yours publicly.
Using the service fairly
You're welcome to use SI Prayer as much as you like for personal reflection and prayer. Please don't abuse the service — no attempts to break it, scrape it aggressively, flood it with automated requests, or use it to harm others. If automated abuse threatens the service for everyone, we may limit or suspend access.
Your content
What you share with Emmaus stays yours. Your conversations live only on your device — we don't store them on our servers (see our Privacy Policy). You're responsible for what you share, and we ask you not to share anything you don't have the right to share.
No warranties
SI Prayer is provided as-is. We work hard to keep Scripture quotations accurate and the service reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and reflections — being generated, not divinely dictated — may occasionally miss the mark. That's why we encourage you to weigh everything against Scripture itself and the counsel of trusted people in your life.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll post the update here and note the new date at the top. Continuing to use SI Prayer after changes means you accept them.
